Wow, after attending my first meditation workshop I came away feeling calm yet excited. Empowered with greater knowledge surrounding meditation and the different factors that can alter your present moment and the information we can take in. Thanks to this guided class by good friend and my yoga teacher Andy Roberts from breath-London & Australia, my practice this morning changed greatly as I used my senses to awaken the mind. Simply by moving my thoughts from sounds in the distance to those near by I began to hear birds instead of garbage trucks, then focusing on the beautiful morning breeze across different parts of the body head to toe.
Finishing with some nice nasal breathing, keeping awareness on the air moving through the nose and energising the body.
After just 5mins of this I opened my eyes and felt energised and ready for a great day.
